Porch Panache

Happy Wednesday! Today I want to share my front porch with you. My accessories have both complimenting and contrasting colors in them. I wanted them to work with my house color (Cabot exterior latex stain in Spruce Blue.) and not clash.

I found these outdoor pillows at Pier 1 in a teal color. They’re perfect! The blue green color matched with the house color. Even though they’re a darker tone than the house, they worked just fine.

I added black and white pillows to make the other pillows pop.

The old fashion wood rockers add charm to the porch. I think rockers make any porch very friendly and inviting!

Sometimes the back deck is too hot to enjoy. I love to spend my time on the front porch, where it’s a cooler place to sit and relax.

The wicker table between the rockers is decorated in a friendly vignette. I wanted it to be colorful and fun. DSC_0106

The little bird tea pot and matching cup are very whimsical. Their mix of bright colors add to the design and makes it more interesting.DSC_0115

On the other side of the porch is another matching rocker. I have it next to the planter that I posted about earlier. Click here to view that post!

The front porch is the first place in your home friends and guests see. Why not make it a great first impression! You don’t have to spend a lot of money to make it colorful, fun and friendly. Just use your imagination and things you might have around your home. You can also find many outdoor items marked down this time of year.

Thanks for the front porch visit today!
Have a Lovely Day,

  1. You really have a lovely front porch. Like that you have a lot of space to sit out there
in those nice rockers. Your house is pretty much the same color as mine, but I have
brick half way up that has some peach tones as well, then the blue at the top.
Really enjoyed how you decorated it…………..enjoy that Pretty porch……
    Blessings, Nellie

  2. I’d love to sit and rock a spell! I love the black and white with the blue and your adorable wicker table. It’s all lovely. Popping over from Best of the Nest :)

  3. I am inspired. We have a long narrow porch too. I do lament sometimes there is no space for a table. With a porch as serene and pretty as this, who cares! Visiting from Craftberry Bush link.

  9. Great post! I found you on Enchanting Inspiration Link Party! I love the feel of your porch panache! It is so homey! I also, love, love, love the brick! I am pinning to my Outdoorsy Pinterest board! My parents have an ideal area that this would look terrific in. Maybe I will convince them to start updating now so they can enjoy it too.
