The holiday season is knocking at our door and getting ready for all the festivity can be daunting. Though, it doesn’t have to be that way. Think of small ways to dress up your home without any fuss. Small, seasonal vignettes here and there around your home, can create a warm holiday mood. You can change out some of your decor for a holiday item or just use a holiday item with your existing accessories. Tuck items into spaces that are used a lot or not at all. Make your home feel special and well thought out for the holidays to come. A set of small turkey salt and pepper shakers are combined with the dining room plates to add interest to the serving table. Setting them on top of the plates is unexpected but the design concept works. Another easy to do design concept is using a cloche over seasonal items. I placed two sets of different sized turkey salt and pepper shakers under a cloche. I then used some faux fall leaves to complete the look. This look is unique and fun. Don’t forget to dress your dining room pieces, as well. I decorated the sideboard full of pumpkins of different colors and sizes. In the middle, I filled a ceramic cooler with green bottles of sparkling water, ready for my guests to enjoy. My table is ready for the fun and festivity of the day. I used colorful fall decor, along with mini battery operated lights through the middle of the table and centerpiece. The use of turkey plates makes the tablescape even more special. Filling your decor full of holiday charm is easy to do. Keep it in-line with the holiday and use elements that express what it is you want your guests to feel. Most of all, enjoy the time putting it together, as well as the time with your guests. There is so much to be thankful for in a world brought closer together everyday!
