Happy Monday Everyone! Today I’m sharing a fantastic flower box with you. On Saturday my niece Laura was married. Her wonderful reception was at a vineyard here in Connecticut.
It was held outside under a tent, that was exquisitely decorated! The weather was perfect for the occasion. It felt like an early fall evening. Everything was beautiful, especially the bride!
Laura requested her Dad, my brother,Tony, to make flower boxes for the long tables at the reception. He was more than happy to help with the project and proceeded to have 18 of them built. Laura wanted them to have a drift wood look. My brother found a color wash on-line that would do the trick. They came out perfect! They were just what Laura wanted! She had the florist fill them with white Hydrangeas, pretty pastel colored Dahlias and white Tulips.
After the reception, I was given the opportunity to take some home with me. I was very pleased indeed! I began to think of their decorating possibilities, especially for the up coming holidays!
I filled one of the flower boxes with more white Hydrangeas and Dahlias from the other. I then added pink Roses from my garden.
I thought to position three of my flameless candles in with the floral mix and place small glass cloches over them.
I love the look on my kitchen table! It’s a very pretty reminder of a wonderfully special occasion.
Thanks for visiting today! I have posted some photos of my family on my Face Book Page. Please come and visit and like my page. Lovely Livings Face Book Page.

Oh my goodness I love the boxes and the flowers! What a wonderful accent for the wedding. I love how it looks in your home and the cloche’s you added. That box will definitely be something to work with through the seasons and holidays. Sounds like the wedding was a wonderful experience. Our son’s wedding was under a giant white tent like this too- lots of beautiful memories!

I absolutely love those boxes!! the wedding looks gorgeous!! I have been wanting to build a box like that, but I have never built anything out of wood- just needle and thread or paper!! You have done a beautiful job filling yours.

A beautiful and original decoration, with the round hydrangeas and roses in contrast to the angular box.
Hi Villrose! I think the contrast of the florals and the flower box are what makes the design work so well. Thanks for your comment and for visiting my post today! Also, thank you for hosting your party!
