The kitchen is where I spend a lot of time in my home. I like to have it decorated for Christmas, but not over done. The table, top of my pot rack, island and window above my sink are the spots where I set up my vignettes. They are the areas that are out of the way from daily activities and chores.
On top of my pot rack I created a reindeer display. I used two decorative white reindeer, that I purchased last year, along with two white lanterns. The lanterns were part of my Autumn Pot Rack display post. Winter faux foliage of frosted pine branches, pinecones and berries add to the display. The green hydrangeas fill out the vignette nicely.
I set up a usable display on the island. Small cream and white plates and mugs are ready for appetizers or desserts. A larger lantern matches the one on the pot rack and gives the vignette height and interest. The frosted white tree and tea light candles fill in the vignette more.
I filled a white compote with small round snowman ornaments, glittery snowflake ornaments and heart shaped watch ornaments. I call this little creation “Snowman Time”!
Small touches here and there can make a big statement. I wrapped sprigs of berries around a few of my decorative figurines to make them a little more festive.
My rooster looks very noble and proud wearing his Christmas decor.
I hope you enjoyed my Christmas in the Kitchen post today!

Looks great, LuAnn! Love that you added some Xmas glam to the bunnies and rooster. How do you keep the standing reindeer (so pretty!) from falling between the pot rack slats? It’s been snowing here all day…looks so nice with our outdoor lighting, and gives me reason to love the darkness that comes with early evening. The pic of your house in snow looks charming and so inviting. Have a nice, cozy evening.
Thanks Bobbi! The reindeer have wide stands that keep them from falling through the pot rack. You don’t see them from the angle of the photo. It’s been snowing here too. We accumulated a few inches through out the day. I think it’s over now…it’ll be nice to see the sun tomorrow morning for a change. I forgot what it looked like. Lol Out door lighting can be so pretty, especially when covered with snow. The snow pic of the house was from last year…I think the snow makes everything beautiful!
Stay warm and have a lovely weekend if I don’t hear from you!

LuAnne, you have stuck all the right white and gold notes! Stunning. Love, love, love the deer arrangement over your pots! Merry Christmas! Linda
Thank you Linda for liking my display in the kitchen! I think a white and gold or white and silver theme is just so elegant and wonderful for Christmas. Though I do love rich colors too…the difference is sometimes nice especially when one room is done in colors and another in whites and soft neutrals.
Have a lovely week!
