Deck the Halls for Christmas

DSC_0120

Are you ready for Christmas? I’m just about ready! It’s almost here and today I’m sharing my living room. It’s all decked out for Christmas! It’s the room we love to have our tree in. The fireplace’s warm glow compliments the decorated mantel and tree beautifully. We spend our nights relaxing in front of the fire and enjoying the Christmas ambience of the room.

Soft and natural is the look I wanted for my living room, with just a small amount of red accents.

This year I used burlap wired ribbon to decorate my tree and mantel. I like the tree and mantel to be the same, this continuity gives the room an elegant touch.

Don’t you just love these white star glass ornaments? I found them this year at one of my favorite home decor stores. I like the softness they give to the tree and mantel.DSC_0245 copy

A natural look is the theme for my Christmas design this year. Small birds are tucked in here and there on the tree and mantel. I like the way they are peeking out from the branches.

This crown is my topper again this year. I feel it’s symbolic of Christmas. The Christ child is our crowned glory! What better way to show it!

These majestic reindeer add to the elegance of the room. I wrapped golden fruit around them to make the display more interesting. The gold color compliments the cloched stand that’s in the middle of the vignette. I filled the cloche with clear glass ornaments and sprigs of faux pine branches. The fire from the fireplace casts a wonderful glow through it and also the crystals that hang from the stand.

Holiday decorative pillows add to the warmth of the room. I love pillows! They make a chair or sofa look cozy and welcoming, especially for the holidays.

  1. Oh, your living room is just beautiful! Looks like pages from a magazine. Love your beautiful tree and the decorations that match your mantel. You vignette with the reindeer is lovely too. You really know how to decorate. Merry Christmas to you.

  2. Your mantel and tree are breathtakingly beautiful! The metallic reindeer are terrific too. Your living room looks like the set of a movie…and one, I’d love to watch!

  3. This is so beautiful! I love the roses & birds tucked in here and there. I think the mantel and tree are as beautiul as the ones I saw on the Chirstmas White House HGTV special! What a inviting place to sit by the fire!

  4. Oh, LuAnn, all the comments posted are so true. What an amazing job you did–warm, inviting, and so elegant! I just want to curl up on your sofa listening to Xmas carols. Love the leopard print and “believe” pillows, too. Wishing you and yours a joyful and blessed holiday.

    • You are too kind Bobbi! Thank you for your very supportive comments. Don’t you just love that Believe Pillow! I couldn’t wait to get it in a few years ago when I bought it. I love putting it out for Christmas! There aren’t a lot of Christmas carols on the piano, but I do play Christmas music from my i-pad. Lol The family plays the piano, just not Christmas songs…too bad!
If I don’t hear from you before Christmas, may you and your family have a very lovely and safe Christmas Holiday!
