The count down is on for the years’ big day. It’s hard to believe it’s six days away. There are presents to wrap and cookies to bake. A dinner to plan and more posts to make! I think you can see what my post is about. I’ve set up the manger in my terrarium, no doubt.
It’s on my coffee table in the family room. With only a few elements, to make it boom. I didn’t want to overshadow the manger display. Too many items would take the look away.
Two candlesticks with flameless candles cast a lovely glow, and next to the terrarium, a thin style pine tree I show. It stands nice and tall near the candlesticks, and balances the design with more holiday kicks. I decorated the tree with some faux wild wax flowers. I turned them upside down, so their weeping branches would shower. Down the tree it looks so pretty, nice and full, it all looks so giddy.
Like my little bird at the top? He looks as if from Santa’s shop. He just flew in and perched himself here, but really I just placed him there.
I have more of the faux wild wax flowers to show, inside the terrarium, along with others you know. They are white branches with crystals attached, I just love the way the florals match. They fill the inside of the terrarium so fine, and look so lovely hanging over the figurines Devine. It makes the manger display so soft and sweet, you see. Just as the birth of our Lord should always be!
There’s another candlestick in the terrarium, you know. It’s actually a window candlestick, timed to go. It turns on every night so you can see, and casts a beautiful amber glow over the one that is He!
He is here for us to adore! He is Christ our King, for evermore!
I hope you enjoyed my Manger in the Terrarium poem post today!

That pretty terrarium has surely been versatile, hasn’t it? Love dual-use items; you really feel you’re money was well spent. I’m done shopping. We made it simple this year with a gift cards to nice restaurants and shops we know our families like, and some are getting money. This month seemed to fly by…that, or I’m just old enough (64) to feel like it lol!
Hi Bobbi! I have done a lot with the terrarium this year and I think this is my best use of it so far! This month is going to fast for me…I wish it would slow down some. I started out with giving money and gift cards and then I started thinking, who needs this and that and before long there were many presents to be wrapped. Oh well…so much for making it easier.
Have a lovely weekend!

Know what you mean. It gets so tempting when you see all the pretty things at the stores…you start thinking about buying more because you see “that something that works for someone you love”. I fought it this year because we spent so much money already, but who knows what will happen next year lol! I don’t know why I failed to tell you this before because I think it whenever I open your e-mails, but you are so pretty! You truly could have been a model.
Thank you Bobbi for your very sweet comment! I’m too short to be a model! I’m only 5’3″. Lol
This was a grat idea, no doubt!

Thank you Cathy for noticing my poem! When I started writing the post my son was reading it and said it sounds like a poem, make the whole thing rhyme. Though, it took a little time to re-write it in rhyme form… I did it.
Happy 2015!
