Valentine’s Day is just about here and what’s more romantic than spending it by a nice warm fire? I set up a delightful tea for two on my coffee table in the living room. I used one of my favorite cream colored ironstone tea pots, along with the matching creamer, sugar bowl, dessert plates, cups and saucers. (The pieces are from American Atelier “Baroque” collection.) They are a perfect choice for this type of table-scape.
I wanted the display to look sweet and romantic. I placed peachy orange roses in a small cream colored pitcher and rested them in a beautiful antique gold tray. Red twine hearts are arranged on LED string crystal lights. The hearts and the crystals look very charming together. I casually arranged them around the display on the table. I wanted them to add a lovely look to the design.
Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and heart shaped brownies are a perfect choice with tea. I displayed them on cloched white stands. (I love how these stands have a delicate lace edge.) They are very dainty and elegant and fill in the display nicely.
This larger cloched stand was decorated previously. (Click here to see it at Christmas time.) Since then, I have changed the look to reflect a simple and elegant design. It is very fitting now for my tea time display on the table. I placed a lovely gold crown on top of dried hydrangeas. I think the crystals that hang from the gold stand make the table arrangement more appealing.
I hope you enjoyed my “Tea for Two by the fire” post!

I Love this tablescape usually I would respond right on the blog page but I have to know where ever did you get those cloches with the lace trim and skinny stands? They are gorgeous please tell me where you got them I collect cake plates and when one catches my eyes I always try to find them. my collection is nearing the hundred mark and I know that’s shamefull even to admit but being a Pastry chef they always get used for displays. your colors were such an appealing eye candy thank you.Susie

Hi Susan! Thank you for the lovely comments! I’m so sorry to say I don’t remember where I bought them…it was many years ago. Maybe try eBay or Amazon for something similar.
