So happy you stopped by today! I’m sharing my new lamps with you. This is a before photo of the master bedroom with the old style lamps. They were pretty nice and decorative. I liked the shape and color of the shades and base of the lamps, but they were too small for the room size and too short next to the bed posts. I wanted taller lamps in the room that would cast more light and be the right proportions.
I fell in love with these “crystal spray console table lamps” when I found them on-line. I always wanted a chandelier in my bedroom, but I didn’t want to give up my ceiling fan for one. (There is a very high vaulted ceiling in the master bedroom and not having a ceiling fan is an option!) There would be too much heat loss in the winter and cooling loss in the summer. I do switch the fan direction with the season change. It does make a difference in helping with heating and cooling costs. I also like the air movement I get with the fan. These new lamps are a perfect choice to getting a chandelier look in the room without hanging one from the ceiling.
These new lamps are a perfect height and add a glamorous touch to the bedroom. They have a lovely traditional design with an “Old World” charm.
The antique gold finish on the lamps is beautiful and so are the glass crystals that hang from under the shades. The color of the shades blend in with the color of the pillows on the bed.
A white tray with tea pot, cups and saucers are a nice detail to the design. Pretty napkins and flowers make the look more elegant.
I didn’t change the pillows on the bed, but only added a few more accents to complete the look. The new lamps not only blend in with the design of the room, but also the bed.
I hope you enjoyed my “New Lovely Lamps in the Bedroom” post!
