Does it feel like Spring where you are? It’s starting to here in the North East. We still have a lot of snow where we are in Connecticut, but the warm weather has been melting it away beautifully!
I have my Forsythia wreath hanging in my family room on a cabinet door. I would love to hang it on my front door, but the weather has been too windy lately. I don’t want it to blow apart! I’ll try hanging it on the front door in a few more weeks, but maybe not. I love the way it looks in my family room! It’s very unexpected hanging on the open glass door of my cabinet and the unexpected is what I like to do in my designs!
The bright yellow petals of the Forsythia flowers are a perfect accent against the dark wood tones of the cabinet. I added a pretty Spring bow to the wreath. I love the coral red and green check pattern. Perfect for Easter!
I thought a little bird’s nest, my monogram letter and some white hydrangeas, would be perfect to make the wreath design more interesting. The wreath was very pretty by itself, but the other elements make it even more so.
In the kitchen I hung this flat Easter Basket. The shape and size was perfect to use as a wreath!
The coral red and green check pattern bow, as seen on the forsythia wreath, looks lovely on the basket. I like to carry a theme throughout my designs and the check pattern ribbon works great to do just that!
The color of the eggs in the basket along with the bow and flowers, work with my kitchen colors very nicely. What says “Spring” than a basket full of Easter eggs and flowers?
I hope you enjoyed my “Festive Easter Wreaths” post!

Those are so pretty!! I have a forsythia wreath on my back gate…it is pretty to drive in the driveway….the neighbors have a long row of flowering quince on one side and I have pots of pansies and the wreath on the other. Now if I could just entice some lilacs to grow here! I try to bring some of Conn. to Texas, but sadly, it doesn’t work very well :^(.
Blessings to you,
J
Hi J! After this winter I can’t wait to see the forsythia bushes in bloom! I would like to plant lilacs myself…maybe I’ll plant some this year. I’m sorry that the beloved plants from CT don’t work there in TX. All this snow and now rain will produce a beautiful Spring for sure! I can’t wait for the warm weather and pretty colors!
Have a lovely weekend!

Spring has sprung in Houston except for dreary gray days. It will be great to see some sun. You have definitely found a way to create spring in your home which should hurry up the season.
Hi Lulu! My home is full of Spring! 🙂 Outside is another thing…snow is melting for sure, especially today with it in the 40s and rainy. Maybe by the end of April it’ll be all gone. I can only hope!
Thanks for the visit!
Happy Weekend!

Pretty post, LuAnn! Who says we can’t bring spring to our homes, even if mother nature is not cooperating outside. It is so cheery just to look at our spring and Easter décor after a harsh winter. I can see the new buds on our Bradford pear trees, which normally bloom here the end of March– can’t wait to see their beautiful display!
You and me both Bobbi! I can’t wait to see the trees and shrubs blooming again! This winter has been crazy! The snow has melted a lot here this past week, but we have a lot more to go. Maybe by the end of April the piles will be gone.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a lovely weekend!

Love your forsythia wreath and the Easter Basket too! What fabulous spring decorations. I’ve arrived back home from California today so it feels very cold and it is grey here in the UK but the bulbs are popping up and we have spring flowers 🙂 Thank you for sharing with us at the Hearth and Soul hop link party. Pinning and tweeting 🙂
Hi April! Glad to hear you are back home save and sound. My daughter was just in California with her husband. She won a trip there from I-Heart Radio to see the Foo Fighters private concert. They were so excited to go…They are safely back home too. She said it was very hot there, like Florida. No bulbs are popping here yet, to much snow still. It melts then we get more. I hope it just all goes away soon! Thanks for the pins and tweets! They’re very appreciate!
Have a lovely week!
