Lovely Roses in a Lantern

Roses in a Lantern copy 2

Today my husband and I are celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. He surprised me with two dozen of my favorite colored Roses. I would love to share them with you.

Pretty pink Roses melt my heart and these are especially pretty with the touch of light green on the ruffled edges. They are so lovely and dainty, they make a beautiful arrangement right in my laundry room sink.

I wanted a pretty, yet unique way to display them. I had a large size white lantern I wasn’t using and thought it would work perfectly for my arrangement.

I placed one of my favorite pitchers in the lantern to see if it would fit. It did!

I cut the stems and arranged the Roses in the pitcher. I had to cut them a few times to get the appropriate length that looked good. Two of the blooms had fallen off, so I used them at the bottom of the lantern. It gave the arrangement an additional touch of elegance.

Now, where to place my arrangement. My bedroom of course!

They look lovely between my bedroom chairs.

Being a large lantern, I wanted to put it on something that’s wasn’t too high. This small display table was just what it needed. Perfect!

Thank you to my lovely husband Carlo for the beautiful gift and for the opportunity to show it off to you today.

  1. Happy Anniversary – 30 years is indeed something to celebrate especially these days! Your hubby must know you well to have brought you flowers that you could arrange yourself – it’s half the pleasure of receiving flowers for people like us! And what a fabulous job you have done with them. The lantern idea is terrific and adds so much to the look as does the place where you’ve displayed them. Lovely!
