Happy 4th of July! It’s already here! For the occasion, here’s a tutorial for my pinwheel napkins. I displayed these napkins in my “Nautical July 4th Table Vignette” post. These decorative napkins are easy to create with just a few folds.
First start with laying out one napkin. This will be the predominate napkin in the design.
Then layout the second napkin (red check) on top of the first (blue) as seen here.
Fold the corners of the first napkin (blue) to the middle allowing the second napkin (red check) to peek out of the newly formed corners of the first napkin.
Carefully turn the whole piece over.
Now bring up the corners of the peeking out napkin (red check) together.
Using a napkin ring of your choice, place it over all four corners of the second napkin (red check).
Make sure the ring is on good by pulling up the corners as much you can.
Holding onto the napkin ring, carefully pull the corners of the first napkin (blue) out from underneath to create flower petals.
To finish the design, I placed a patriotic star ornament on top of the flower napkin ring.
This pinwheel/flower napkin design can be used for many occasion just by changing the color of the napkins.
Wishing you a lovely 4th of July!
