A Lovely Summer Wreath

Summer Wreath 2015

There is nothing quite like a wreath to welcome you at a front door. This year I decided to hang a wreath that not only displays summer florals, but coordinates with my front entryway/porch decor and colors. I choose different shades of pink and white for my design.

Hydrangeas are perfect summer florals to use on a wreath. I used pink and white hydrangeas along with contrasting pink pom pom flowers. Other florals in dusty pink and ivory are combined with greenery that gives the wreath more texture and color. It fills it out beautifully! I wrapped black check ribbon around the exposed part of the wreath. I also used the check ribbon together with a burlap ribbon in the bow I created.

Two urns holding pink impatiens flank the front door and compliment the wreath wonderfully. These flowers are so elegant and exotic that they give the front entryway a lovely appearance.

My chalkboard wreath stand holds my burlap monogram banner. I stenciled a “Welcome” on it with chalk paint. It’s fun to do! Not to mention, it washes off easily for other greetings or designs I may want to use.

  1. LuAnn, your front entry is GORGEOUS—who wouldn’t feel happy entering your home? Makes my entry look sickly Ha! Ha! Hugs, sweetie.

  2. Your entryway to your home looks lovely. I have the same color front door and
my home is painted a very similar blue only darker, only my accents are cream.
Like it with the white as well. Love your urns with the pink flowers, and your
    wreath looks very nice………….
    Blessings, Nellie

  3. LuAnn, the wreath looks wonderful with your urns filled with Impatiens! Thanks for sharing with SYC.

  4. Your porch is spectacular! I do not have a front porch, but if I did, yours would be my inspiration piece. That wreath is lovely, all that abundant color is so welcoming! Off to pin!

  5. I love the wreath – so gorgeous and that black and white check ribbon just sets it off. Thank you for sharing at Share It One More Time. Cathy
