Charming Country Centerpiece

Charming Country Centerpiece
Today I’m sharing the kitchen table centerpiece or vignette I’ve created. I thought it would be appropriate for September, which by the way is four days from now. It’s hard to believe!

What better way to create a charming country centerpiece than with roosters and chickens. I’ve placed two of them on my table along with a framed rooster and chicken painting. It’s petit size works great in the table display.

This chicken tureen is very decorative, but it can be filled with soups or sides for actual use. I like the height of the piece. It fits in perfectly around the other items. My Hydrangeas from my garden are drying very nicely in the pitcher I arranged them in. I don’t hang them upside down on racks or beams, I just arrange them in a pitcher of water and let them go.

I love these fabric acorns I found on a shopping trip last week. They look perfect in my porcelain compote. They add a pinch of color to the table vignette.

As a part of celebrating September I placed green apples in a tureen. The apples add to the country tablescape. They match the hydrangeas and napkins on the table and create a cohesive design.

This little guy is placed on stacked plates to give him some much need height. I wanted him to be higher than the other items in the tablescape and the plates did the trick.

Scattered Sunflower heads add appeal to the vignette and give it a charming country feel.

  1. That is a great centerpiece! I’m in love with your roosters, and they look quite comfortable!
I dry hydrangeas the same way you do….mine went from pink to a sagey/purple color this year. It is fun to see how they end up!
Have a great weekend and blessings to you and yours!

    • Hi Bobbi! Thank you for your sweet comment on my kitchen table vignette. I have a few of the small gold framed pictures with various chickens and rabbits on them. They are my little art treasure I found some years ago. I love them! I’m happy you enjoyed my post!
