Cloches & Pumpkins

Cloches & Pumpkins

Happy October everyone! Today I’m sharing my cloche and pumpkin designs. I created some fall vignettes with various cloches and pumpkins and placed them here and there around the house. October is the month for pumpkins and what better way to display them than under a cloche.

On my family room side table I have a cloche over a stack of small sized cups and saucers. I placed a beaded pumpkin in the top cup. It’s size was a perfect fit!

I have more beaded pumpkins placed in the matching tea pot and two other cups and saucers around the cloche. I wanted a fun and whimsical fall design for my table.

On the desk in the same room I have small white pumpkins under a tall and thin cloche. It’s simple and easy design makes it charming for fall.

This bird topped cloche is found in my kitchen. I placed the cloche on a ceramic colander that holds real white and orange pumpkins. The holes in the colander help to keep airflow around the pumpkins and prevents the cloche from misting up.

In my dining room I have a pretty silver colored stand that holds a glass and silver cloche. I stacked a few of my china cups and saucers under this one and placed a good sized striped pumpkin on top. I’ve decorated around the cloche with more pumpkins for a pretty fall design.

Near my front door is my cherry cabinet. It’s decorated for fall with an orange beaded pumpkin under a glass cloche that sits on a black stand. Staffordshire dogs and more beaded orange pumpkins add to the fall vignette. I purchased these pumpkins many years ago and have used them ever since. A lot of displays and or vignettes I put together are from items I’ve purchased over time. I try to find new ways and areas to display them. Changing the way I use them keeps my home decor exciting and fresh. There is nothing wrong with adding newly bought decorative items with the old ones, sometimes the new items make the older ones look new again.

  1. Would you believe I don’t own even one cloche, and I don’t know why when they are so pretty. I love the way you use yours in your beautiful displays. I’ll be on the lookout for them as I’d like to put several on our island.

  2. I love your cloches and pumpkins! I have quite a few and they are one of my favorite things to use in decorating! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
