A Tea Etagere

A Tea Etagere

Today I’m sharing a few of my silver tea pieces with you. I wanted to create an elegant tea display on my dining room table. I decided to use the etagere I had on top of my sideboard in the dining room and placed it in the middle of the dining room table.

I liked the height of the etagere and how perfectly it fit under the chandelier in the room. I was able to create small displays on it’s two shelves. On the top shelf sits my silver tea pot filled with beautiful mini pink roses.

I brought out a mix of china tea cups and saucers I had purchased many years ago. I wanted a pretty way to display some of them and thought this was ideal. The bottom shelf holds a silver pitcher/creamer arranged with dark pink roses.

Most of the tea cups and saucers have pinkish rose patterns on them. I like to mix the various patterns together. Even though they are all different, their colors work with one another in a harmonious way. This small adorable china sugar bowl is one of my favorite finds. It looks like a little tied sack filled with sugar.

Under the etagere and on top of the table sits a silver tray.  It’s holding a pretty tea cup filled with more pink mini roses and a silver sugar duster. I love the duster’s charming shape and size.

Bone china cups and saucers have a special quaintness, especially when mixed with various styles and patterns. They’re pretty and dainty and oh so lovely. Together with the silver pieces the display works wonderfully.

  1. Just beautiful LuAnn, love the pinks with the silver and that sugar bowl is too cute! Great idea to move your etegere to the table for some height, everything looks better with chandelier prisms in the picture doesn’t it? 🙂
    Happy March to you!

    1. Hi Gina! Thank you for your lovely comments. That sugar bowl was a great find. I found it in Cape Cod at an antique store many years ago. I actually found quite a few of my china cups and saucers there. Yes, I do agree that every thing looks better with sparkling crystals.
      Have a lovely March!

  2. LuAnn, you have the most amazing ways of creating such beautiful groupings and vignette, but with the etagere it makes this really unusual and fun!!

Thank you for dropping by to share your ideas and inspiration on the #OMHGFF this week!

Hope you will have a beautiful weekend!

  3. This is incredibly beautiful. Of course I’m always in awe of Frenchy decor styles so I might be a little biased. 😉

Thank you for sharing your beautiful yellow inspiration with us at Thursday Favorite Things Blog Hop. For a long time, I was crazy pants over yellow. I still enjoy the color, but when I get hooked on a color there is a tendency to go overboard. Ha ha.
