As Autumn starts to peek around the corner I enjoy filling my home with a harvest of God’s bountiful goodness. What better goodness than that of pumpkins. Their various shapes and sizes are so easily placed into any home decor and create a wonderful sense of the season. They are always welcoming and warm up your home with their friendly nature. Pumpkins are a perfect fruit to decorate with. Who knew this fruit would get so much attention?
Small green pumpkins tucked into this rustic trough shaped container match perfectly with the succulents. Their different textures make this arrangement fun and pretty at the same time.
Succulents are very easy to decorate with. They fill in spaces beautifully and mix well with all sorts of decor. Even Pumpkins!
My favorite item to decorate with is dried hydrangeas. I picked these from the back yard garden in August and dried them in about a week. The plants were very full this summer and I harvested quite a bit. I thought they would look lovely in this large ceramic catch pot I had sitting in my basement. I nestled three faux white pumpkins on top of the flowers. Faux pumpkins are much easier to use and lighter in weight than the real ones. They work perfectly on top of the arrangement without crushing the flowers.
Velvet pumpkins have been very popular during these past few seasons. I created a quick arrangement using them with hydrangea flowers and greenery. They make an ideal centerpiece for any tabletop.
I hope you enjoyed my “Pumpkins Here and There” post!

Hi LuAnn! Your pumpkin vignettes are absolutely beautiful. Love your use of texture and color, so fun! Thank you so much for sharing with us at Dishing It & Digging It & congratulations on being featured this week!
Good morning! You and I were of the same mind this week mixing pumpkins with succulents! I love the way they look, the texture, the terrific design shapes…and it doesn’t hurt that they don’t need constant watering! I really, REALLY dig that metal trough! It looks like a 4 season element that could be dressed up or down with ease. Your dried hydrangeas look great, too. Still bugging my husband to get a treasure trove of hydrangea bushes planted along the side of our home. Like pulling eye teeth with that man sometimes! Anyhoooooo….nicely done! Have a happy week!
Yay for pumpkins! Yours look just lovely; I’m not sure which of your arrangements is my favorite!
