Sometimes you want to soften things up and that’s just what I’ve done with my Christmas decor this year.
I chose to use pretty pinks, tans, gold, silver and white Christmas ornaments.
I was hoping for a subdued look that would go along with the softness of my new flocked fraser fir tree.
Wanting nothing to fancy this year or over the top, I kept my design easy and simplistic. No garlands or bows, just a pretty assortment of glass ornaments, some of them mercury glass.
On my mantel I placed three mercury glass trees and nestled the rose hip garland that was already on the mantel around them.
I kept faux white peonies I also had on the mantel, but added more to this arrangement to make it fuller.
It’s hard to see in the photo, but I placed flickering faux candles under the trees. They look beautiful at night when the room is dark. I love how they cast a pleasant warm golden glow.
I used these angels and the baby Jesus last year on my tree. This time I displayed them on the piano.
I placed the Baby Jesus on top of a small flocked wreath I had left over. I thought it was a perfect place for Him. It gave a just-the-right finishing touch to the vignette.
I hope you enjoyed my “Soft Christmas Living Room” post!

Just so beautiful. Love your beautiful tree. Also the angels are gorgeous. Where did you find those they are just beautiful.
Merry Christmas.
Kris
Thank you Kris! Your lovely comment is very appreciated! Here is a link for the angels. I purchased them last year from Amazon. Hope it helps! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001L46NWI/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Hi, LuAnn! Always so excited when I see your post show up in my e-mail. Your tree and room décor are just stunning! We have a very similar tree in our guest bedroom. We have collected quite a few of Swarovski’s annual crystal ornaments over the years and, as I didn’t use them on our main tree this year, I put some on the guest room one-boy, does it add shimmer! I don’t go in that room much but, when the tree goes up in there, I find myself making pit-stops just to look at it, especially at night. I just love Christmas and always dread having to dismantle all the pretties– that’s why everything stays up well into January. I hope all is well in your world and my very best wishes for a wonderful Christmas. Hugs!
Hi Bobbi! It’s so nice to hear from you! I have a guest room now that two of my sons bought their own home. It’s slightly decorated for Christmas…just a few things in there. Maybe I’ll post on it. I just need time on my side. I like to leave up my Christmas decor until The Solemnity of the Epiphany of Our Lord (visit of the Magi) which is Jan. 7th this year with the Roman Catholic Church. After Christmas it does seem so undecorated for awhile. I wish you and your love ones a very Merry Christmas that’s beautiful and safe. Hugs Back! LuAnn
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing at Home Sweet Home.
Both your tree and mantle are gorgeous! I can imagine how lovely the soft flickering of the candles is at night. Love your new tree as well! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
