The Thankful Table

Today I’m sharing my Autumn tablescape with you. It’s the table in my kitchen. It’s not yet Thanksgiving, but I like to think that any month, especially November, is a time to be Thankful! Not just the one day we celebrate. I can’t think of a better way to show it than a lovely Autumn tablescape? It’s at the table we should be most Thankful. We are so blessed to have a table to sit at and enjoy the food and family we love so much! I call it the “Family Table”! It’s where we are nourished and where we feel most loved. It’s a bonding place. It’s a place to get to know each other better. The family meal is a wonderful experience and should be shared as much as it could.

I dressed my table with lovely colors of Autumn. Ivory dinner plates are set on top of green charger plates. Leaf plates in brown, green and burgundy are placed on them. Soup bowls in ivory break up the color combination, but tie into the dinner plates at the bottom.

Colorful napkins are folded into squares and pushed into the soup bowls for a flower like appearance.
I filled cute small leaf bowls with popcorn. The family can munch on the popcorn before the meal, or after, which ever they please. I think popcorn symbolizes Autumn nicely!
Ceramic pumpkins add to the design on the table as well as the tea lights in the mason jars. I think tables should have a warm glow, especially at night! The flower box I posted on awhile ago still sit in the middle of my table. Click here to see my “Fall Flower Box”.

I hope you enjoyed The Thankful Table!
