Soup’s On Sunday

Soup was on the menu for dinner tonight. Actually home made tomato soup with home made bread. I wanted to share another look at my Fall kitchen table, before I change it for Christmas and Winter next weekend. It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is upon us already! It seems like I just decorated this table with Autumn decor.

I set the table with my cute pumpkin lidded bowls. Not for decor, but for use! Mr. Lovely had been after me to use these bowls to eat from. I liked them for their decorative look! So, I gave in tonight. What type of soup should I serve? Pumpkin soup would be great on this cold fall evening, but it would not please him, nor the rest of the family very much. They’re not fond of pumpkin anything, but they do love my tomato soup and thats what we had! I also made my Italian bread to go along with it.

I set out crackers on leaf plates and placed tea light candles in small leaf bowls. I like to give my tables small decorative touches here and there to give them a special feeling.

I love the way Fall decor looks in my kitchen, but now that the Fall season is coming to a close, I look forward to changing the kitchen to Winter. It’s the designer in me that loves change. Change is good, embrace the change!

I’ll be posting on my Dining Room Thanksgiving tablescape on Tuesday. Please stop by to see my design!

I hope you enjoyed my Soup’s On Sunday post!
