Happy Tuesday! Fall is officially here and I’m ready to share more of my Fall decorations with you. I decided to use a swag that fits perfectly on top of my fireplace mantel. I wanted it to look full and festive for the season and for the upcoming Fall holidays. I filled it with pumpkins, gourds, green and brown pears, leaves, pinecones and berries. Bows helped to finish the look. There are two types of bows in the swag. One is a dark colored plaid and the other a light colored burlap. I particularly like the burlap wired bow I made for the mantel. It gives the design an elegant country feel.
I like the look of the swag to be full and drapey. It makes the arrangement more interesting and pretty.
The swag reminds me of my Christmas garland that I use on the mantel. It gives you the feeling of Christmas and starts the excitement for that holiday early. At least in my home!I love the way the living room looks when the fireplace mantel is decorated for the holidays. It’s so warm and inviting! Click here to view my Christmas mantel from last year.
In the first two photos you can see my living room coffee table. I’m sharing it today with the mantel. I like to dress it up too. A few medium sized pumpkins fit in nicely with my peacocks. Small beaded pumpkins sparkle in the tray set up for tea. A single faux candle sits on top of colorful leaves and flickers softly in the room. It’s like that old saying,”A little goes a long way!”.
I hope I inspired you today with my Fall Mantel.
