A Simple Spring Vignette

A Simple Spring Vignette

I created a simple vignette on my kitchen table. I decided to use a wood tray and place all the items in the vignette on it. Using a tray allows the vignette to be easily removed if we need the entire table. The tray has a kitchen drawer look to it that makes the design very interesting.

The vignette was tea inspired. I love to use tea pots and cups in my designs, especially in the kitchen. I feel using elements that are kitchen utilitarian are more practical in a kitchen theme.

My favorite cream white ceramic set consisting of a tea pot, creamer, sugar bowl, plates, cups and saucers are the main focus in the design. Pretty golden yellow napkins add just the right pop of color to the vignette. I used a cream colored pitcher (not of the set) to hold some spoons.

For a touch of Spring, I placed a bird’s nest on top of the stacked tea cups. It’s as if we were having a tea party and two birds spotted the perfect place to build their nest.

A little wire basket is filled with small potted faux hydrangea plants. I love their muted green and white tones. The tones play nicely with the green welcome basket hanging on my cabinet in the background.

This cute green basket was a lovely find and a perfect Spring touch in the kitchen. I filled it with some faux yellow and white tulips and hung it on my kitchen hutch.
