Wonderful Winter Day

Wonderful Winter Day

Happy Winter everyone! We just received about nine inches of snow today. Yesterday the weather was rather warm, near fifty with no snow on the ground. That changed late last night until around 1pm today. As soon as the snow stopped, the skies cleared and the sun came out. I love this time after a large snow fall! The tree branches are ladened with fluffy snow and the sun’s rays gleam through them beautifully. It’s a lovely winter wonderland! I truly enjoy winter’s blanketed snowy days.

Wonderful Winter Day

It’s fun seeing the items left outside all covered with snow. They’re covered in unique mounds and shapes . We say the snow blankets the not so pretty things and makes them lovely.  Wonderful Winter Day

The snow creates an artistic picture on the tree branches that were so staunch bare and dull looking. The snow transforms them with an alluring softness that’s strangely warm and wonderful.

Snow layers the trees and shrubs around the house. The white soft blanket flows up and down the landscape. It’s flawlessly laid down. Funny how nature has an understanding of perfection.

The brilliance of the sun’s rays shine through the branches covered with snow. It reminds me of God’s brilliance in producing such splendor in our world. How His simple snow fall creates such perfect elegance and softness to a hard and cold looking environment. I feel God created us to be the elegance and softness to His hard and sometimes cold world. If only everyone would choose to stay that way. What a wonderful world it would be!
