Pretty Peonies and Roses

 

I love decorating my living room fireplace mantel with florals.   Flowers are the easiest and prettiest way to create a big impact in any room of your home.  I like changing the designs on my mantel with the seasons or with my mood.

 

My mood this time was to use this wonderful lantern I found a few years back and surround it with these pretty peonies and roses.

 

 

I arranged the peonies and roses as full as I could and created a cascading effect in the middle of the mantel.

 

 

The details on this lantern adds elegance to the arrangement and to the living room.  Because the fireplace is the focal point in the room, I wanted the mantel design to really standout.

 

 

This mantel arrangement adds a bit of charm to the living room.  I used a palate of whites, creams and just enough peachy reds to create this look for a pretty summer floral design.  Though there are approximately five more weeks left to summer, I feel this design works beautifully for now and into early autumn.

 I can’t wait to start decorating for autumn soon and to share my ideas with you!
