Winter Table Centerpiece

Hello everyone!  While I share my Winter Table Centerpiece today, the sun is shining and reflecting off the icy snow that covers my back yard.  It’s beautiful!  Thank you God!  He is good and shares His loveliness with us in everything, we just need to recognize it.

I’m still using Dahlias in my designs around my home.  It’s my new favorite flower and I’m loving it!  I can’t get enough of them.  Their size and shape are perfect for a long table.  I like to create flower table runners.  I combined dahlias with eucalyptus, rose hips and winter greenery.  The arrangement gives a pretty and almost spring feel to the table with the use of the flowers, but it still has a winter appearance due to the winter greenery.

These long thin brass candlesticks add an elegance to the table centerpiece.  Their daintiness gives the arrangement a pretty softness.

I like to create arrangements on my tables that utilize the space as mush as possible without becoming over whelming.  Designing a loveliness, whether on a table or anywhere in your home isn’t that hard if you follow some basic understanding.  Sometimes too many items placed very close together can become overpowering, or too little of items can be understated.  If you can find your designs somewhere in the middle you will have cohesiveness in your decor.  Use your natural reasoning and sensibility when creating a look for your home.  Taking pictures or even videos (with your phone) of your designs will help you get another perspective of the appearance of what you created that might be missed when looking at it with your naked eyes.

Creating beautiful designs shouldn’t be hard, it should be fun and exciting.  Ideas can come in many forms that you can copy and then tweak your own way.  Just try and go with it!  Winter Table Centerpiece

  2. Beautiful table and flowers. The bright light also is just pulling me in. Just what this gal needs on a dreary winter day!

    1. Hi Christine! Colorful flowers do brighten up any day especially dark winter ones. I can’t wait for spring, but for now this definitely helps.

Hi LuAnn. Beautiful table. Where did you find the beautiful Dahlias this color?? They are beautiful. So glad to see you on the blog. I have 2 grandchildren, one two years old and one 6 months. My daughter has to work so I watch them quite often. They do keep one busy, but such a joy. Blessings to you and your family.

    1. Hi Esther! I purchased these Dahlias from Pottery Barn and I believe they still have them. They come as a bunch. I love their colors and I find them perfect for any season. It just depends on the decor used around them.
My grandsons are three and almost eight months old. It’s so funny how they remind me of my own sons. I find it such a blessing from God to be able to have baby’s around again. I’m a little tired, but loving it!
Thank you for your comment and for stopping by today,
      LuAnn
