The Holy Rosary…prayer beads are the most powerful weapon we have to fight off evil. It’s not repetitive prayers…oh no…it’s meditating on scripture.
“If you say the Rosary faithfully until death, I do assure you that, in spite of the gravity of your sins ‘you shall receive a never-fading crown of glory.’ Even if you are on the brink of damnation, even if you have one foot in hell, even if you have sold your soul to the devil as sorcerers do who practice black magic, and even if you are a heretic as obstinate as a devil, sooner or later you will be converted and will amend your life and will save your soul, if– and mark well what I say– if you say the Holy Rosary devoutly every day until death for the purpose of knowing the truth and obtaining contrition and pardon for your sins.” -St. Louis de Montfort from The Secret of the Rosary
Mary protects us and she guides us to her son. She makes it an easier path to Jesus because evil is trying very hard to keep us away from Him. For some it’s hard to love Mary, it’s a struggle to love her, to be devoted to her, but if you only knew her you would run to her. If you only believed the truth that Jesus gave Mary to us at the foot of the cross, to be our spiritual mother, you would run to her. Mary wants you to get close to her. The saints had a devotion to Mary. They had a deep love for her. If you only knew her, if you only knew the love she has for you, you would run to her. If you only knew the goodness she wants to pour into your life, the graces, the presence of Jesus, you would run to her and find a refuge, a safe place where you can tell her those things that are burdening your heart. A place where you can be lifted up into her arms, that refuge of her Immaculate Heart. Enter into that place, it’s where Jesus is there waiting for you. He especially loves those who love His Mother, it’s hard for Jesus to say NO to those who are devoted to Mary and to those who pray her most Holy Rosary.
Please pray the Holy Rosary! We need to pray it everyday especially for our priests, bishops, cardinals and the Holy Father (Pope Francis). We need to pray it for peace in our families, our communities, our countries and our world more than ever.
