I’m sharing the mantel design I created for winter and thought it would be perfect as a Valentine arrangement too. I just couldn’t put away these dahlia beauties after Christmas, so I chose to continue to use them for winter.
The pretty colors and soft shapes of these dahlias help to chase away any winter blues. Their loveliness brightens up the room during these dark and cold days.
I added flocked evergreens, cedar pine stems, eucalyptus and rose hips to the arrangement for fullness. These stems give the design a wintery feel.
Being only February, I’m not quite ready to decorate for spring just yet, but I am thinking and anticipating about Spring ideas for March. For now, I’m enjoying my flowery winter mantel design as a substitute.
The love sign placed in the middle of the mantel works well in my winter flower arrangement and especially for February. The background color in the sign blends beautifully with the dahlias.
I hope you enjoyed my “Flowery Winter Mantel” post today!
