My winter table design is actually the table-scape I created for Christmas dinner. So, I’m sharing it with you today. I ran out of time to share it before Christmas day. There was so much to do and time was just not on my side. Unfortunately, trying to work in a post was not a priority.
I wanted a soft wintery table and realized the design could be used for winter gatherings too. I used a lot of whites and creams in the design and mixed in various types of eucalyptus and other greeneries to make the arrangement running down the length of the table full.
I placed light pink rose shaped napkins in the wine glasses for a pretty effect. I found the tutorial to make them on Pinterest. It’s very simple. All you do is spread open a cloth napkin and press down a fork in the middle while turning the fork as if you were twirling spaghetti. The napkin wraps around the fork forming a perfect rose. Gather up the rose and place it into a glass leaving some of the napkin to over hang a bit. That’s it! If you have real or faux rose leaves you can add them to the glass as well for a lovelier look.I happened to find these faux pearl and gold napkin rings and thought how pretty they would be around my ivory colored napkins. I placed my gold flatware through them and set the whole ensemble on top of my cream colored plates. Perfect! Taper candles and tea lights filled the table with a lovely glow and created a wonderful atmosphere especially for a Christmas evening dinner or a winter evening dinner.
