Coffee and tea are those delightful beverages to share with someone special or enjoy alone. You could be chitchatting with a dear friend on your front porch, or snuggled up with a loved one in front of a warm fire. Enjoying them both, hot or cold is a favorite past time for many people all over the world. You could be in a coffee house, tea room or even your dining room. Where ever you please to enjoy them, they are that drink that makes you smile.

I set up a coffee and tea buffet in my dining room. The sideboard is all dressed up for Autumn. I have a festive fall garland resting along the back of the piece. It’s filled with Fall fruits and berries, along with white pumpkins and sunflowers.

Apothecary jars are filled with some treats of cookies and candies. My porcelain coffee and tea pots are filled with my favorite brews. All the cups and saucers are lined up in various ways to make the design of the buffet interesting. I particularly like the way they look on my etagere. Small tea light candles give a lovely warm glow to the entire look of the buffet.DSC_0105
A green ceramic pumpkin and a small oil painting on an easel fills this space nicely. Together, they give the buffet design more decorative flair. I stacked three cups and saucers on a silver stand under a glass cloche. I think the cloche piece looks like a piece of art and works perfectly with everything else around it.

A Little Autumn Here and There

Happy Thursday! This week is flying by already. It is certainly feeling and looking like Fall now. There are colorful leaves coating the lawn more and more each day. Today I wanted to share with you a little Autumn here and there around my home.

DSC_0034

In my family room I put together a pumpkin vignette on the coffee table. I filled my terrarium with various pumpkins and dressed it up further with sunflowers and faux colorful leaves. I have the arrangement spilling out on the table to make the look more interesting.

Two candle sticks with faux candles add to the vignette along with my bird finial. The height of these items coordinate nicely with the terrarium.

The desk in the room holds my two Staffordshire dogs along with an open metal cloche. Under the metal cloche dome is a ceramic pumpkin and my dried hydrangeas from last years blooms. I had no luck this year with my hydrangea bushes. Only my hydrangea tree bloomed this year.

This smaller metal cloche has a pumpkin under it too and has more of my dried hydrangeas. I like to keep uniformity in my designs. This display sits on a small cabinet in the family room. Next to the cloche is a cute owl I purchased last Fall. It is filled with an autumn scented potpourri. The little bird snuggles in nicely between the two elements.

This vignette is in my foyer. These Staffordshire dogs are a perfect color for Fall and blend in lovely with the display. I filled an ivy arrangement with craft paper pumpkins. It looks like a rustic pumpkin bush! There are mini led lights in the arrangement that adds some fun and rustic charm.

At the bottom of my stairs are my lanterns. I used wicker pumpkins around them. The large bow on the lantern is decorated with more Fall foliage and flowers.

A Simple Arrangement

Happy Sunday! Today I want to share a simple arrangement I made from the roses in my garden! They are the David Austin Roses I showed before in other posts.
Click here to see my “Lovely Roses” post. My rose bushes are still blooming and look beautiful! The weather this time of year is perfect for them. The cool nights and mornings with the warm sunny days are just what they need to keep blossoming.

Even though it is Autumn, the roses still keep giving their spectacular showing of blooms. Their pretty pink tones are lovely!

The velvety looking leaves of the roses have such a bright and beautifully green color. I love their contrast against the ivory pitcher I arranged them in.

The shape of this pitcher works perfectly with the delicateness of the roses and their leaves. They both complement each other wonderfully!

I’ve created quite a few arrangements this past season with my David Austin Roses and I would like to share some of them again.

Falling for the Front Porch

Happy October! You are joining me today on my front porch! I would love to share more of my Fall decor with you. Please take a seat and enjoy your visit. On Saturday, I posted about my colorful front door. Now, I’m showing how I decorated the rockers, table and planter that are on my front porch.

DSC_0039

On my rocking chair is an orange outdoorpillow that’s just the right Fall color. I used a black and white check print outdoor pillow against it. The combination gives a perfect Fall/Halloween look. The yellow mums in the white planter just pop. I had done a post on this planter in May. Click here to see my post ” Perfect Planter”. I just love the contrast between the yellow flowers in the white planter, against the blue of the house. I propped two small sized beaded pumpkins on the planter shelf. DSC_0039

I like the way these pumpkins shimmer in the light. I wanted to use my blingy pumpkins for a touch of the unexpected. The fact that they shimmer and shine gives my Fall design a little more interest.DSC_0064
On the other side of the porch is my white wicker table. It’s all decorated with what else, “blingy” pumpkins! More orange and black and white check patterned outdoor pillows are on these rockers also.DSC_0061

I filled an apothecary jar with very small beaded pumpkins and placed it on the table in back of my white owl. The small lantern has a faux candle and a few colorful leaves in it. When the candle turns on at night, it’s warm glow, along with the colorful leaves, is very inviting. The tall pumpkin and white sun flowers finish the look on the table and makes it pretty.DSC_0063

I wanted the front porch to be a true reflection of Fall and Halloween too.

It’s so nice to sit outside on the front porch with a hot chocolate or coffee and enjoy all of these wonderful colors of Fall!

Thanks for the visit today! It’s always lovely having you stop by!

I hope I inspired you today with more of my Fall Front Porch.
