Good Day Everyone! I hope to find you well this Wednesday. It is certainly feeling like Autumn here in CT this past week. The weather is beautiful! I don’t know what’s better, a cool sunny spring day or a cool sunny fall day? I guess both are lovely!
I’m showing off my pot rack today. I decided to change the flameless candles I had on the pot rack to an Autumn display.

The candles I used on the rack worked wonderfully. I had them going on automatically at night. Their warm glow against the ceiling looked and felt very inviting when you walked into the kitchen. You can click here to view my post “Kitchen Vignettes” for more views of the pot rack.

I still wanted to use flameless candles on top of the rack. I decided to use only two and placed them in lanterns. I worked them into a vignette that feels Autumn-ish.
A few elements for height and fullness is all I needed to balance the design. A galvanized planter and pitcher, along with faux hydrangeas and small white pumpkins did the trick.

I hope I gave you some ideas for a simple Autumn look today. You can decorate basically anywhere for Autumn or any season. Don’t be afraid to decorate a new space in your home. The space could be a corner, ledge, or counter. It could even be under a table, or on top of a pot rack. The choices are endless!
Happy Autumn Decorating!

Fall Flower Box

Happy Friday Everyone! Today I’m sharing the flower box I posted on twice already! The first post was A Fantastic Flower Box and the second post was my Late Summer Kitchen Table Centerpiece. You can click on the links to view the posts. This third post is a Fall display of course. The box is so versatile. There are so many ways you could spruce it up. The change of seasons and up coming Holidays makes it fun to decorate! I love thinking of ideas that I could share with you!

I left the green hydrangeas in the box and added other elements that say “Fall”. I didn’t want a lot of orange in the centerpiece, so I stuck with more greens, creams and whites to keep the look soft. Green and white pumpkins and gourds fill in the flower box nicely. Around them I have faux creamy white Sunflowers and  white Black Eyed Susan. Pinecones, berries and ivy fills in the design nicely.

I created a simple table scape around the flower box that stays with the cream and white scheme. I love how these white pumpkin soup tureens look on top of my ivory colored plates. The green chargers add a little color and blend in perfectly with the flower box design. The faux candles are much safer to use than real ones. I like how they add a warm glow to the table, especially at night. I feel Fall is about warmth, softness and coziness. Why not create that feeling on your kitchen table for everyone to enjoy, every night at dinner time? It’s a wonderful time of year!

Autumn’s Early Arrival

Happy Tuesday Everyone! Autumn is in the air and cooler weather is making it feel that way. I love this season! There is so much color and excitement with the changes that take place during this season. The trees are already changing here and there. Though I don’t want to see the green go away, I do enjoy the explosion of color that’s about to happen soon! We can’t stop the change, but we can enjoy it and just let it happen!
I’m excited to show you an Autumn design in my new dining room. Hard to believe that the dining room was renovated two months ago! I made it very Fall friendly. Today I’m showing you one portion of the room. It’s the electric fireplace. I wanted it to be a focal point when you walk in the room. I decorated it with various Fall finds to give it an Autumn feel.

I used this large size lantern right in the middle of the mantel. I placed a “real looking” flameless candle in it. These new types of candles look amazing! From a distance, you think it’s a regular candle with a real flame. The lantern matches the ones I have on my table. I like their continuity in the design of the room. Click here to see my “Dining Room Done- Over” post.

I used a mantel swag that has some faux pumpkins and gourds on it. It’s twiggy elements are great for a Fall look. There’s plenty of faux leaves, pinecones and berries that fill it out. Adding more items to it made it even fuller. I used green and gold pears, green pomegranates, small white pumpkins and more pinecones. The large white sunflowers have glitter on them. I like the slight sparkle they give. It’s unexpected!

The harvest look is perfect for my dining room. I stuck with light colors. No bright orange tones here. I wanted a soft elegant feel with a touch of rustic. The wreath above the fireplace, purchased a few years ago, has a grass look to it. I added a bow I made from burlap ribbon to give it a shabby chic feel.

I hope you enjoyed my post today. Please stop back, I have a lot more to share of my Autumn Designs.

Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Autumn Decorating!

Lovely Heavenly Hydrangeas

Hello Everyone and Happy Weekend! Today I would love to share my lovely heavenly hydrangeas with you. They are very full flowers with a beautiful creamy white color. They seem to be touched with a light golden heavenly dust, that makes them so creamy looking. I think the angels above must love these flowers. Their delicate petals reminds me of angel wings.

This particular type of hydrangea comes from my hydrangea tree. My lovely husband had planted it for me a few years ago. We have other hydrangeas in the yard, but they are bushes not trees. In fact, those hydrangeas didn’t bloom at all this year! Due to the hard winter , we had to cut them down all the way to the ground. I hope to get a beautiful showing next year. We’ll just have to wait and see. At least we have the lovely tree and all of it’s wonderful blooms!

The flowers are so dainty and soft. I love how they fill in this galvanized planter I used! The contrast between the two works beautifully.

Have a lovely week!
