Lovely Floral Christmas Tree

I’m finally sharing my floral Christmas tree with you today.  I’ve been pretty busy around my home.  Watching two grandsons who are almost three years old and five months old is exciting, but also challenging at times. I have to admit, it’s nice to have a toddler running around the house at Christmas time.  Young children make the holiday so much more special. The excitement in them for this beautiful holiday is contagious.

This year I’ve decided to design a floral Christmas tree.  I loved how the dahlias looked around the house during autumn, so, I decided to use them again for Christmas on my tree.  The warm tones play beautifully against the greens of my flocked fraser fir.   I like how the dahlia colors blend nicely with my living room decor.

The fullness of these dahlias fill the tree perfectly.  I added some warm colored hydrangeas and eucalyptus here and there for extra color and texture.

Glass ornaments sparkle and shine near the lights and add an elegance to the Christmas tree.

Decorating, babysitting and taking care of my home and family is very rewarding for me.  I love how my new life as a grandmother fills me with such joy and happiness.  Though, I would love to post more on my blog and I will try in the future, I’m still getting use to being a full time grandma (Nana) to my beautiful grandsons Richard and Thomas.  Playing and rocking them to sleep for their naps is a little more important for me right now.

I am very blessed and thankful for my husband, my children and grandchildren.   What joy and excitement children bring into the world and at this time when we are awaiting the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, that joy and excitement is more understood.
