Let Us Pray.

O Lord Jesus, Who didst allow the greatness of Thine incarnate Divinity and most sacred humanity to be born in time, to become a little Child, and to suffer bitter death, grant that we may acknowledge infinite wisdom in the silence of a child, power in weakness, majesty in abasement, so that adoring Thy humility and littleness on earth we may contemplate Thy glories in Heaven. We ask this of Thee, Who, with the Father and the Holy Spirit, lives and reigns God, forever and ever. Amen.

My nativity scene takes center stage on my family room coffee table. This glass terrarium makes a perfect manger for it. I used the terrarium in my “Manger in a Terrarium” post a few years back seen here. You will notice a change in my family room since then. I’ve taken down the wallpaper and painted a soft color on the walls to brighten the room.
Decorating with a Nativity scene for Christmas is what the holiday (holy-day) is all about. It’s nice to remind everyone this by putting up a manger. I like to keep my manger and other Christmas decor up until The Solemnity of the Epiphany of our Lord (Three Kings Day) which is on January 6th.
I hope you and your loved ones enjoy this joyful time of Christmastide!
